Oh Morphy Richards…
Why did you make a kettle
With such fragile hinges that
The very heat of water boiling
In the kettle made them turn to
Soft and squidgy plastic that did shear,
It made me shed a tear.
And why did I then…

One of the many things they never tell you,
Or rather, that they tell but you ignore,
Is of the multitude of colours present,
When baby opens up his bottom door.
There’s orange brown and ochre, yellow-orange,
And somewhat chunky mustard coloured grains,
There’s browny, peaty, greeny brown and muddy,
And various combinations of the same.
You name some earthy shades, this baby’s got ’em,
And this is what I find amazes me,
That from the bottom of this tiny creature,
Should fall the decor of the 70s.

Kitten brought a mouse to me
A mouse that was quite dead
A very thoughtful cat is she
As I was dozing peacefully
She left it under my bed
